Thorikos Reports and Studies is a peer-reviewed series accommodating archaeological, historical and related studies connected to Thorikos and Attica. Begun in 1967 as Thorikos. Rapport préliminaire, Thorikos Reports and Studies appears irregularly, although one volume every two or three years is aimed at. Dans le sud-est de l’Attique, la région du Laurion abrite des installations minières millénaires exceptionnelles tant par leur ampleur que par leur ancienneté. Ses sous-sols ont été exploités dès la Protohistoire en raison de la présence de minerais de cuivre et, surtout, de plomb argentifère. Les archéologues miniers, travaillant depuis une décennie sur le site de Thorikos, dans le cadre d’un ambitieux programme de recherche, ne sont pas au bout de leurs surprises et livrent ici leurs premières découvertes.
